  • Are tiger sightings frequent in Tadoba Andhari Tiger Reserve?

Yes, tiger sightings are very frequent in the park, most visitors go back happy

  • What else can I see in the park through my safari?

    The habitat is beautiful, the relocated village agricultural fields have become stunning vast meadows with wildlife springing back. Tadoba is a haven for birds. Do ask your guide to slow down for these tiny marvels as well

  • What is the best time of the year for wildlife viewing?

October - March is the best time to enjoy the forest. Herbivores are seen in large numbers and tiger and leopard sightings are also frequent

April – June is the best time to view wildlife. The hot pinch period brings them closer to water sources and sightings are almost assured

  • When does the park close for monsoon?

Tadoba core zone is closed for the monsoon (July, August, September) but the adjacent zones are open throughout the year 

  • Is the property safe since it is unfenced?

Yes, the property is very safe, and is good for children as well. The Villa, the pool and the deck are fenced and secure after dark as well. Since the property grounds are unfenced, it is advisable to refrain to venturing outside unaccompanied by our staff.

  • Do you have power cuts?

Yes, being a part of the Indian rural landscape, our lodge suffers from power cuts

In case of such situations, our rooms are individually backed-up by batteries (inverters) and the entire property is powered by generators

  • How does one book the jungle safaris?

The safaris have to be booked through the government website (booking.mytadoba.org), the safaris booked for 2-4 months in advance are more expensive than the ones booked within 2 months

Tatkal quota opens 3 days before the safari date and is usually 4 times the price of the regular safari

  • Where is the nearest medical assistance?

We have first-aid kits available on the property

Basic medical facilities are available at the nearest village and special facilities are available at Chandrapur (40 km) 

  • Where is the nearest ATM?

The nearest ATM is in Chandrapur (40 km) and Nagpur (130 km)

  • What is special about the Tadoba zones

The zones are in the buffer forest and are an extension of the core of the park. With abundant wildlife, sightings of large carnivores are frequent. The zones have fewer tourist vehicles and are a beautiful experience. The local community manages and benefits from these tourism zones. safaris in these zones are recommended.


How do I get to tigress@ghosri?

It's a 135 km / ~2 hour drive from Nagpur on the Chandrapur highway to tigress@ghosri.

Daily flights (70-90 minute) from from Mumbai, New Delhi, Pune, Kolkata, Bangalore to Nagpur by all major flight carriers.

Nagpur is very well connected to most of the Indian Cities by train and some by bus.
